⁴⁰ And with many other words he bore witness and exhorted them, saying, Save yourselves from this perverse generation. ⁴¹ Then those who gladly received his preaching were baptized, and the same day there were added to them about three thousand souls.

⁴² And they continued in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayer.
